Can you believe it, the Winter Holidays are in less than 2 weeks! I can’t believe it! I’m not always super prepared, like some parents, so I tend to scramble a bit to fill the Winter Break Holiday days. We are very privileged to have such amazing outdoor activities and some great places to visit to fill the days, but what if you still have to work? And unfortunately, you can’t play in the snow all day.
Luckily there are some Winter Camps that are a great opportunity for kids to learn a new skill and have some fun. Here are a couple opportunities for kids to get excited about.
School of Rock Vancouver
School of Rock Vancouver offers camps for all skill levels and ages where you can learn guitar, bass, keys, drums or vocals. Combining 1-1 lessons with group band practices, along with live performances on stage, it is where students grow into real musicians and rock stars in their community! School of Rock is really one of the coolest places to learn music! Choose from Rock 101 for beginners or Beatles Camp and Classic Rewind Camp for 7-18-year-olds with some previous instruction.
Kitsilano, Kerrisdale, West Vancouver
Steamoji is a maker academy for kids that trains builders, makers, inventors, and entrepreneurs. Turn downtime into discovery time this Winter Break with kids’ STEM camps in coding, 3D printing, robotics, engineering and more!
December 19-23, 9am-12pm or 9am-3pm
STEAM Goes Medieval: Creating Castles & Catapults (5 – 7 years)
Lightbulb Moment! Making a 3D Printed Lamp (8 – 12 years)
