What makes a community a wonderful place to raise a family? It’s the people, businesses, services and organizations that go above and beyond to make family life a little easier, more enjoyable and a whole lot more memorable.

From favourite family-friendly restaurants and local shops to inspiring classes, trusted professionals and unforgettable experiences, every community has its standouts. And it’s time to celebrate them!

The BC Parent Family Favourites 2027 competition is back! We’re inviting families across British Columbia to recognize the businesses and services they love by nominating their favourites and helping us shine a spotlight on the very best our communities have to offer.

Your Favourite Businesses Deserve Some Love!

As parents, we rely on a wonderful network of local businesses and services. They’re the places that welcome our children, make family outings special, help us navigate parenting challenges and create experiences our kids will remember.

Perhaps it’s the gymnastics studio where your child discovered a new passion, the neighbourhood restaurant that always makes your family feel welcome, the summer camp your kids can’t wait to return to, or the local business that consistently goes the extra mile.

Whatever makes a business special to your family, we want to hear about it!

The Family Favourites competition gives parents and caregivers an opportunity to recognize these businesses and share their recommendations with other BC families.

How Does Family Favourites Work?

It’s easy to participate, and every nomination helps bring attention to the businesses that make a difference in family life.

Step 1: Nominate Your Favourites

Think about the businesses, services and organizations your family loves. Submit your nominations and help them get the recognition they deserve.

Step 2: Spread the Word and Vote

Once voting opens, encourage friends and family to support their favourite nominees. Every vote helps!

Step 3: Celebrate the Winners!

The top favourites will be announced on February 20, 2027. It’s our chance to celebrate the outstanding businesses that make BC such a great place for families.

Family Favourites is about more than winning a title. It’s about supporting local businesses, celebrating exceptional customer service and sharing trusted recommendations with fellow parents.
