Creating an After School Program requires many elements to come together in order to appeal to the kids who are registered in them which is why our program offers a wide variety of age-appropriate activities and a welcoming and inviting environment that considers each child’s personality type and possible areas of interests.
At Asland Academy, our program planning has been created to prioritize each child’s holistic development, fostering their social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth. We do this by offering an array of activities that cater to the different aspects of their development, ensuring a well-rounded experience.
Following theReggio-Emilia approach, this After School program offers a diverse range of activities incorporating various academic subjects including STEM, basic coding and Math, to mastering communications by learning about languages, phonics, and even public speaking! This such a wide array of options to choose from, our program provides an opportunity for these children to explore their interests in a supportive environment – and the diversity in our programming ensures that every child can find an activity that they enjoyย while helping them develop new skills.
Exploring the outdoors this summer will also be a favourite past time of our children. As we get outdoors and explore our natural surroundings, children will learn about the environment that we live in and how to preserve it. In addition to teaching our students to appreciate the wonderful creation of Mother Earth, we also teach them how to preserve and share its beauty.
At Asland Academy, we follows the same philosophy in our After School program that we do inJunior Kindergarten Academy, that each childโs individuality is respected by us focusing on how to support their multifaceted development in life.
With love, kindness, and resolve, the children of Asland Academy will become independent citizens of the world. Through our specially designed curriculum, they will learn how to advance their social, physical, intellectual, cognitive, and emotional skills, so they will be able to succeed in the future!

OUR DIVERSE PROGRAMMING INCLUDES
STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
Our goal is to cultivate problem-solving skills and nurture a love for learning in every student. Each month, we delve into a new theme, sparking curiosity and discovery. In science, students investigate reactions and outcomes, while technology and engineering merge as they construct a drone while learning principles and coding basics along the way. Math concepts are also woven in, encouraging logical and critical thinking.
Basic Coding
Our goal is to introduce children to the world of coding and to inspire them to pursue it further. We do this by teaching the the basics of coding through fun and interactive activities.
Phonics Learning Program
Our goal is for children to develop a solid foundation in phonics, empowering them to become confident readers and writers. Designed to enhance reading and writing skills, our program utilizes interactive games, engaging songs, and fun activities to teach phonics rules. Following the natural approach of how native speakers learn language, children not only memorize words, but also learn to sound out unfamiliar ones.
Languages
Our goal is to introduce children to new languages and cultures while also helping them develop their communication skills. They can learn more ways to communicate with different people who are from different countries and understand what background they have. Languages offered include lessons in Spanish, French, and Mandarin.
Public Speaking
Our goal is to help children develop their communication and presentation skills. Through a variety of activities, children learn how to speak confidently in front of others. We will have some chances for children to lead the circle, speak in front of us and tell us about the things they want to share, moreover to build up their vocabularies.
We are committed to helping parents find that peace of mind in knowing that their children are in good hands while they finish their work days.
