Come to see all the attractions you know and love, plus exciting new offerings. With attractions for both the kids and the adults, there’s fun for the whole family at the PNE Fair. This year, the PNE Fair has debuted a new under $10 Taste of the Fair menu that includes a list of specialty options that will keep your costs down and the fun rolling. With over 50 vendors at this year’s Fair, there are more than enough food options to keep everyone full and happy.

PNE classics

Back this year are classic favourites like The SuperDogs (an adorable agility show that will keep you on the edge of your seats), Knights of Valour (ever wanted to see live jousting?), cooking demonstrations on the Safeway Cooking Stage, agriculture displays, For the Love of Drag, and – of course – Summer Night Concerts. If you’re after something new, you can check out the Taste Showcase and BC Wine Bar, where you can stock up on gourmet goods and sample BC wines while listening to live music, or head to Monet, an immersive experience that showcases the stunning watercolours of Monet. Finally, new for 2023 is the PNE Express! Take a break from the Fair to relax and ride the train past a pond and through the trees. Check out birds as you pass by.

PNE Exhibitions

That’s not all, though. There are classic exhibitions to check out and learn from. Love dinosaurs? Imagine Exhibitions’ exhibit Dinosaurs Around the World is ready to teach you about the history of the earth, the role of volcanoes in the story of dinosaurs, and help you understand how the history of dinosaurs has shaped the world we live in today. Once you’re ready to leave the dinosaurs, check out Canoe Cultures, an Indigenous-led non-profit where you can see live carving demonstrations or check out completed canoes.

PNE Special Events

For those of us looking for something a little bit more participatory, you can even sign up to be a part of the Fair! That’s right – the PNE Fair has special events that you could join. If you love singing, you could sign up for Choir! Choir! Choir!, or Camp Cue Musical Theatre Camp. Or, if you’ve ever wanted to run away and join the circus, this could be your time! Circus West is offering the opportunity to join their PNE Circus Camp, where you’ll learn juggling, how to walk on stilts, and how to make a circus pyramid. And then, you’ll get to show off at the PNE Fair!

PNE Rides

Of course, rides are also open at the same time. Score a ride pass (buy tickets in advance) so you can play a round of mini golf, take a turn on the Wooden Roller Coaster, or scream your heart out on The Beast. The rides open at 11AM with the rest of the Fair, so it’s easy to make a full day of it – ride until lunch, get something delicious to eat, and then head back for some more rides or enjoy more of the amazing programming.

events

At the end of the day, wind down with a concert at the Amphitheatre. The 2023 lineup includes classics like TLC, new favourites like Yung Gravy and BBNO$, but also includes starpower like the one and only Aqua, and Tenille Townes. If you’ve never watched a concert under the stars at the Amphitheatre, now’s the time to get your tickets.

If all of this sounds too good to do in only one day, you’re in luck – you can buy a season pass! For the price of just three visits, guests wanting to spend more time at the PNE Fair can access the event as many times as they want during the 15-day run.
