
Granville Island Canada Day Ceremony
Canada Day celebrations for the entire family 10 AM – 6 PM. Located in the new Chain & Forge outdoor event space, the day includes live music performances and bands, dance classes, kids’ activities, and an official Canada Day Ceremony with anthem and free cake for everyone. Early birds will find the Public Market coffee shops open at 7:30-8 AM just in time to take in the annual water ballet performance by the False Creek Ferries fleet at approx. 8 AM off the False Creek Ferries dock. Granville Island Public Market will return to summer hours for the first time post Covid this summer. Vancouver’s original farmers market, now in it’s 46th year, will expand its evening hours to 7 PM starting June 27 to September 1. From fresh BC produce to local butchers and artisan food products, the Granville Island Public Market is a jewel in Vancouver’s food scene offering daily shopping to locals, and unique, hard to find ingredients for foodies and local chefs.
