Greta and the Giants

Greta Thunberg is all over the news lately, from being named Time’s 2019 Person of the Year to her low-carbon-footprint sail across the Atlantic to speak at the UN COP25 climate change conference. As grown-ups, teens, and kids all buzz about Greta’s inspiring story, we wanted to share a book perfect for children about Greta Thunberg and her mission to save the planet.

Greta and the Giants

Inspired by Greta Thunberg’s work to bring awareness to the world’s climate crisis, this vibrant and thoughtful story introduces the importance of consciously taking care of the world around us. Told in allegory, this lovely picture book shares Greta’s message in a way that is easy for even the littlest eyes and ears to understand. A section at the back features ideas for how kids and families can incorporate green habits into everyday life. To reduce the book’s carbon footprint, Greta and the Giants is printed in the USA on 100% recycled paper, and 3% of the cover price is donated to 350.org, a nonprofit dedicated to fighting climate change.

This book is great for children of all ages. My 4yr old loved the story and how Greta was able to tame the giants. My 8yr old understood the meaning a bit more and was able to go a bit deeper into the issues with Climate Change.

Overall, this book has amazing illustrations and a fantastic hero that we all admire and are striving to be more like. Greta is making an impact like no one would have expected and her relentless perseverance to get Governments and Big Corporates to do something about Climate Change is inspiring to all ages!
