BC Parent Profile – Aiyna Dhillon – Milan’s Magnificent Mama

Have you heard of Milan? No, not the city – the adorable boy from Vancouver. If you haven’t seen him yet, you can check him out on his mom’s Instagram account MilansMama_. Milan gets to go on amazing adventures with his mom Aiyna and today we are interviewing her to get to know this Vancouver mama a little better.

Describe your family: We’re a family of 3: me, my husband Harry, and our 2.5-year-old son named Milan.

Current job/career: I am currently finishing up my ECE program as I want to open up a preschool in the near future. I am also a content creator and blogger.

What’s the most challenging part of being a parent?  Being able to stay patient and trying to understand the way a toddler’s brain works. Also, the feeding. Milan has a great diet but he does get picky with certain textures so food is always a hit or miss with him, he is slowly getting better.

What do you love the most about being a parent? Getting to experience my childhood over again and recreate my childhood memories with my son. I love watching him learn new things every day. I love being silly with him, teaching him new songs, and going on our weekly adventures. I’m a child at hearts so it’s fun to have someone to share these fun moments with.  I love celebrating all of the holidays like I used to as a kid, and create new traditions with Milan.

What is the best advice you ever received as a parent? Soak it all in and cherish these moments because you’ll never get them back.

Favourite self-care activity? Exercising, spending time outdoors, and some retail therapy.

Favourite rainy Vancouver day activity? Science World or the Aquarium. We also love staying at home in pajamas all day, watching our favourite shows, and ordering takeout.
