It’s that time of year again when we are gearing up for Spring Break. Today we are highlighting three very different types of camps that offer the opportunity for kids to socialize, play games, and be introduced to experiences that might ignite a passion or new interest.
WHAT TYPES OF CAMPS APPEAL TO KIDS?
MARTIAL ARTS
Martial Arts camps are a popular choices for kids. Their purpose is to expose kids to the learning of various martial arts skills, including self-defense training and can be offered in ways that are inviting to all sorts of personalities and skill levels so nobody is left out. Using games and lessons, these games offer the take away for improved concentration, coordination, discipline, self-defense, memorization and team work. These camps are often offered both indoors and outdoors.
PERFORMING ARTS
Performing Arts camps are a non threating way for kids to be exposed to music, dance, and acting – and sometimes even visual arts (prop making). It’s an amazing introduction for many kids to interdisciplinary arts and offers a lot of opportunity for friendships to be formed and social skills to be developed as kids learn to express themselves and collaborate. Campers often build scenes and learn songs and dance routines as they work towards a performance on the last day of camp.
FINANCE CAMP
Teaching kids about finance can be fun when its child led and offered to them in a child led environment. According to bankrate.com, teaching kids about money at an early age can help them make better financial choices in the future.

Weeklong Musical Theatre Camps for 4-12yr old’s ending in a show!
Camps run over Spring Break and all Summer at 9 Vancouver & lower Mainland locations.
A great family outdoor activity is helping kids make a connection, through hands-on activities and simple awareness, not only teaching them about nature’s cycles but also planting the seeds of respect for our environment. Together, we can nurture that understanding—one wildflower, one pollinator hunt, and one tiny bee at a time.
The beginning of summer is a great time to start creating boundaries and managing screen time. Instead of banning screens altogether, which is often unrealistic for most families, the focus can shift to creating intentional limits and routines that support both connection and independence.
You’ve probably heard of yoga—it’s an ancient practice with a 5,000-year history! Many people think of it as just stretching or an activity for adults, but yoga is a powerful, often-overlooked tool that can increase overall well-being in kids. True well-being isn’t one-dimensional—it’s a blend of physical, mental, emotional, cognitive, and even spiritual health.
