Family Saturdays: Make a Cantonese Opera Headdress
On April 20, come learn about the exquisite art of Cantonese Opera, one of the most colourful and deeply rooted traditions in Chinatown. We’ll highlight our opera artefacts on display, listen to some tunes, and guide you in crafting your very own opera headdress.
Drop in anytime between 11 am and 1 pm to take part! Activities and admission are FREE for youth (17 & under). Youth under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Adult participation is with admission or free for Storytelling Centre members.
After making a headdress, you can also go enjoy lunch at Chinatown BBQ or DD Mau Chinatown, where you’ll receive 10% off your meal as a Family Saturdays attendee!
