BC Parent Profile: Bradley T. Morris – bringing us magic with Majik Kids

Happy New Year! It’s been a while, but we’re very excited to share a little about a BC Parent who brings magic wherever he goes. Bradley T. Morris, based on Salt Spring Island, is the Founder, Creative Director, Executive Producer, Voice Actor & Author at MajikKids.com and MajikMedia.com.  MAJIK KIDS: Magical Stories for Magical Kids.  Offers six magical audio stories and illustrated books that are now live (on their website, Youtube, Spotify, iTunes & all the other listening places). Here’s a little more about Bradley…

How would you describe your family: Magical, fun-loving, creative, adventurous folk who enjoy nature, friends, healthy living, and being together. We’re also dedicated community-builders who seek to serve the people around us and build bridges to a better world.

What’s the most challenging part of being a parent? Saying, “See yah later” when it’s time to go “work.” I love spending time with my kid and we both get sad when it’s time for me to go to work.

What do you love the most about being a parent? Playing imagination games, curious conversations, exploring science, going golfing or having new adventures, and working on Majik Kids stories together.

What are you most proud of? We have found a way to homeschool Sauryn in a way that allows his curiosity, imagination, and personality to flourish. He is fully involved in every creative facet of Majik Kids and he really owns his Creative Director role on our team. We’re trying to create a life & learning environment that allows for his brilliance to blossom naturally. #ProudPapa

What is the best advice you ever received as a parent? My mom said, “Enjoy every moment you can. They grow up so fast.” I do not take a single day or opportunity to play with Sauryn for granted. He’s my little adventure buddy and I’m so grateful we get along so well!

What is something about you we would find surprising? I am a golf fanatic. I wake up at 5 am most days to play golf at first light (in every weather condition imaginable) and I compete professionally as my passion hobby. I also have a golf novel that I’ve been working on for years, which is almost ready for the world to read.

What inspired Majik Kids?
1. We wanted to write inspiring, magical stories that activate the imagination, courage, and curiosity in your magical kids. 
2. We wanted to produce them in a way that they’re like “movies for the ears,” providing all the fun of story time… without the screen time. 
3. We also wanted to bring families and classrooms closer together through the stories, meditations, activity books, conversation starters, and parenting resources we provide at Majik Kids. It’s been such a challenging couple of years for so many people. We wanted Majik Kids to remind families that life is still magical. 

We look forward to listening to the magic that Bradley and Sauryn will bring to us.
