Arts Umbrella

1400 Johnston St, Vancouver, BC V6H 3S1

About

Arts Umbrella believes that nurturing a child’s innate creativity can change the world. From toddlers arriving for their first class to teens training in intensive programs before heading into the professional world, they believe that arts education goes past training artists who are proficient at their craft; they are nurturing whole people who will use their arts education as a foundation for life, no matter where their path takes them.

Summer camp packages and intensives are a wonderful way for young people to explore different disciplines (such as Visual Arts and Theatre) and to enjoy the break alongside their peers. One of the most loved summer programs is the Fine Art of Hanging Out, where students spend the week exploring Vancouver with their instructor, creating art “en plein air” – outside and in response to the world around them.

Programs for young people ages 2-22 in Art, Design, Dance, Theatre, Music, and Film. High-quality programs delivered across Metro Vancouver give young people a space to express themselves creatively and develop a life-long love of the arts. Classes and workshops take place in multiple venues in Vancouver and Surrey – including a large state-of-the-art education facility on Granville Island.
