Big Astronomy: People, Places, Discoveries (8:30PM)

Journey to the extreme and remote observatories of Chile, one of the world’s premier locations for observational astronomy. Narrated by Chilean astronomer Barbara Rojas-Ayala, this show explores the incredible STEM careers that keep these great observatories running, providing us with breathtaking new views and data of the universe.

As part of your Perseids Primer event experience, step into the Gordon MacMillan Southam Observatory for an incredible tour of the night sky! Our knowledgeable guides will be on hand to help you explore awe-inspiring views of planets, moons, and star clusters through our powerful 1/2-meter Cassegrain telescope.
