WHAT: Introducing One Girl Can’s reinvented 2021 fundraising event, BE in Kenya: A Unique Immersive Journey through Kibera! Using industry-leading technology, One Girl Can has created a unique augmented reality experience to take viewers on a journey of transformation to Kenya from the comfort of their homes. The immersive experience offers attendees a walk-through of the Kibera settlement in Nairobi and a day-in-the-life experience of the organization’s scholarship students, showcasing incredible stories of resilience and courage. Funds raised through the virtual event will directly support university scholarships for deserving girls and help build a dormitory for Ushirika School, located in the largest informal settlement in Kenya.
