Family Day Plans

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Family Day is Monday! What have you got planned? I’m guessing the rain may keep you indoors, but here are some great options to fill your day.

Sing, Dance, Tell Me A Story! (Family Fun Day) (Feb. 17, noon-3pm) at the Cultch is a full Family Day afternoon of fun times (along with some engaged learning). Groups featured are TeePee Theatre’s rich array of traditional First Nation stories told and performed in teepees by young performers in traditional regalia; Hoop dance storyteller Jessica McMann; Fancy dancer Nyla Carpentier, and; Our Creation Story from Mortal Coil and Tsatsu Stalqayu (Coastal Wolf Pack). This event is pay-what-you-can

Family Day Yoga at Uphoria Yoga
(Feb. 17, 2-3pm)
A welcoming and fun way to spend time as a family on family day! These sequences are all kids yoga, so playful and entertaining. The focus is on trying your best and interacting through yoga poses, games and maybe even freestyle dancing. This is a class for all levels, but the focus will be on beginners. It is truly wonderful to see parents who are new to yoga experience learning together with their family.
$28 + GST (family up to 4)

Planet Fitness Free Family Day Workout
(Feb 17, All day)
